MARAS AND MORAY QUAD BIKE EXPERIENCE

Your adventure begins when we pick you from your hotel in our private transport, for the approximately 40-minute drive to Cruzpata, where our base of operations is located, in a community situated on the road to Chinchero and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our guide will give you a 20-minute class on how to handle the easy to ride quad bikes we’ll be using, and then it will be time to start the adventure! We’ll ride through the marvelous landscapes of the Peruvian Andes, surrounded by fields of native crops, and by some of the major snowcapped mountains that have always been sacred to local people. These include Mount Salkantay, Mount Veronica, and Chicón. We will visit Moray, the most important agricultural research laboratory developed by our Inca ancestors. There’ll be time to imagine and reflect upon how this location was used at the height of the Inca empire. From Moray, we will continue to Maras, where salt has been produced since Pre-Inca times, and finally we will return to Cruzpata, to board our vehicle for the return drive to Cusco. The distance covered during this tour is around 50 kilometers.
